A 2-2 draw today for the Emeralds again Haslingden Shockwaves.
A tough game today, with the girls not quite at the races today, only having 9 players available. However they showed great strength and resilience all game in some tough conditions.
Alexis scored a great early goal to put us into the lead, but Haslingden pulled one back late in the half. Emeralds started strong again in the second half, with Darcie scoring following some some great pressure to make put us 2-1 up. Haslingden though piled the pressure on and squeezed an equaliser late in the second half.
Overall, a 2-2 draw was probably just about fair. The girls still remain unbeaten in the league this season!
POTM was Lillia. She was so strong again, making great tackles and looking to find the pass every time. She was put under unnecessary pressure from the opposition coach and parents, but she kept going right to the end. Super proud of her 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
