A 1 goal win this morning at home for the Emeralds against Leigh Genesis Supernovas.

A very cold morning, and with only 8 players available to play, the girls really dug in deep and worked incredibly hard all game.

A good, strong, first half saw the girls go into the lead through a goal from Darcie, but with Leigh equalising before they missed a great opportunity to take the lead.

In the second half, Emeralds kept going and fighting managing to get another goal, with Jessica squeezing the ball through the keepers legs, to take the lead. Battling throughout, the girls defended well, rode their luck a bit, but ultimately went on to retain the lead and win the game.
