U9s Lions vs Prestwich Predators - 16th Apr 2023

A close game this morning against an evenly matched Prestwich Pumas.   Both teams getting stuck in and cancelling each other out in the first period .Prestwich taking the lead when we could have done better by pushing the player wide rather than committing the tackle.  The boys rallied in the second period and deservedly equalised through Henry who had followed in from a longer range shot. Scoring again through a good goal from Arnie and a screamer from Reo .  Prestwich came back at us again punishing us when we should have cleared our lines , very similar to the first goal we conceded which was a bit frustrating !!!  The last period was a pretty dull affair , generally scrappy and us getting the job done especially Grayson who looked confident in goal . The boys did great sticking together and battling through , with Jenson missing through injury and Adam clearly struggling to run .  MOTM Henry the birthday boy .
