U9s Lions vs Ballers - 26th Feb 2023

A thoroughly entertaining game today with two very evenly matched teams and lots of action at both ends of the pitch . Milnrow took the early lead through Charlie and shortly after he repeated doubling our lead only for Ballers to get two goals back by the break .  In the 2nd period Milnrow again took the lead through an own goal but this was thoroughly deserved after Ballers keeper pulled off two unbelievable saves off both Charlie and Reo .  Some real back to the wall defending at times in the final period by all the defence but it couldn’t prevent a great long range finish to level the scores at 3-3 .  A quick breakaway and Henry smashed in Milnrow’s 4th sending the crowd into loud cheers ( sorry if not allowed but it was exciting 🤣) .

Unfortunately with not much time left we all switched off at a corner and let Ballers equalise.
There were still chances at either end as both sides tried to win the game and Charlie , now in goal kept us in it at times.
Final score 4-4 but some great defensive and attacking play at times .
4 games unbeaten , the Lions 🦁 are definitely beginning to ROAR 🦁.👏👏👏
