U9s Sharks vs Radcliffe Reds (H) - 4th Mar 2023

Milnrow Sharks 🦈  lost 2-1 at home to Radcliffe Reds in a good even game with a strong performance.  To say I’m proud is an understatement.

 

After both a very poor performance and attitude last week, we talked on Wednesday about playing as a team, supporting each other and putting in the effort.  

 

This week with the support of the players parents we dropped a player due to discipline issues and had to really step up cover the gap. (It was nice to see the player still turned up and supported the team) and we got back to the principles which will make us competitive moving forward. 

 

It was like watching a different team….We went 1-0 up through a goal from Adam Kargbo, we battled for every ball and played for each other, keeping the lead going in at half time.  

 

We held a better shape throughout and competed for the full game. A couple of lapses in concentration costing us two goals late on in the game. 

 

The result today came second to the attitude and performance and it was a good feeling coming off the pitch.
