“Hard Work Will Beat Talent When Talent Doesn’t Work Hard Enough”
Unfortunately the first half the desire to win the ball back was completely missing from all but one Eagles u9 outfield player (Jack - man of the match) and within a few minutes we were 3-0 down.
At HT we find ourselves going in at 4-1 down against Radcliffe Juniors U9 Rebels, all 4 goals down to the other team capitalising on the poor work rate shown by the Eagles.
For the first time ever, I had to get the hairdryer out at 8 and 9 year old kids as their too busy watching a pitch next to us while I’m trying to talk to them at HT - in the end I just told them to get back into the pitch and work harder to win the ball back.
2nd half finished 2-2, which proves they can do it if they put their mind to it. Man of the match - Jack, for leading by example.
